Macaroni Cheese


500 grams macaroni
250 grams rindless bacon
2 onions, finely chopped
15 ml butter or margarine
15 ml oil
3 eggs
125 ml tomato puree
3 ml flavour enhancer
3 ml garlic salts
250 ml grated cheddar cheese
3 ml dried parsley

1: Boil the macaroni until soft, and drain, pre-heating the oven to 180 degrees

2: Fry the bacon and onions in a mixture of the butter or margarine and oil until the onions are lightly browned

3: Add the bacon and onions to the macaroni and stir

4: Beat the eggs and add the tomato puree, flavour enhancer and garlic salt

5: Stir well and add to the macaroni mixture

6: Mix well and spoon into a greased ovenproof dish

7: Sprinkle the cheese and parsley over the top

8: Bake for about 30 minutes or until the cheese browns

9: Serve with a mixed salad
